Location - close to St. Pancras/Kings Cross Stations (10 minute walk), but in a very quiet, pretty location. Price -reasonable for London. Hotel was very clean. Hotel staff were friendly and polite. I will definitely stay there again, and recommend the hotel to friends and family.
The only thing that was negative - very small - was the tv. Reception was not good, ony 3 channels and the set was mounted ona very wobbly stand!!
Fair value for money at a time when hotel prices inflated for season. Breakfast fast and good. No a/c but fan provided
Its a long climb to the top floor rooms - they are compact and the "bathroom" is quirkily micro sized but it works!
Friendly staff, great breakfast, very cute dog!
Very friendly and welcoming. Lots of charm and character, a very english feel from the entry hall, staircase, delightful basement breakfast room with delicious juice muesli and full english breakfast. Our room overlooked cartwright gardens and even with the window wide open all night it was as quiet as a mouse, inside and out. Nice places seem to attract nice people, every one at breakfast looked happy and cheerful and greeted each other in a quiet considerate way (it is quite small) Excellent location for sightseeing, also plenty of very reasonably priced restaurants 3 minutes walk away. Good beds and crisp fresh sheets and towels
Not really a dislike but it could be for some people, our room was on the top floor,(no lift) the last flight of stairs being very very narrow, (probably the staff quarters originally) the floor in the room was completely uneven, you felt like you were drunk walking around, things slid off tables because the floor was so uneven. However we didn't mind .It had such atmosphere we'd ask for the same room next time. A minus though would be that the hot water did go luke warm most mornings if you weren't quick (the hotel was fully booked) and the bathroom is miniscule. But because everything is so spotlessly clean all is forgiven.
The breakfast was delicious with fresh flowers on the table. The staff were very attentive and always there to help. Fantastic location literally 5 minute walk from Euston Train Station & underground. My room (number 11) was very clean and the bed very comfortable.
Very steep stairs so if you have difficulty walking, it's best to ask for a room on a lower floor. The tv only has 5 channels.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Quiet room. Proper furniture (not a corporate flat-pack room!). Free wi-fi with enough speed/bandwidth to be useful. Good location for Euston, Kings Cross/St Pancras. Pretty good value for money - for London!
Very small shower cubicle. Old tv - 4 badly tuned analogue channels, no Freeview.
As anticipated, quite a small room, but quiet and good price / quality ratio for London.
quiet place.. comfortable stay..
The signal of WIFI was not good throughout the hotel.
The hotel ticked all the required boxes for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a very high standard.
The room and bathroom was a struggle to get into and if we had been a little on the large size I think you have felt embarrassed squeezing into the room and even the bathroom. The room needed a little tlc as I felt it was tired. Small points which did not effect the stay.
Breakfast was good. Basically OK for one or tow nights.
There is no lift so it may be hard if you have a big luggage. The room is not so different from another this kind of hotel I stayed, swinton hotel close to king cross(55/night).
Excellent location near Euston and Kings Cross but in quiet crescent looking over tennis courts. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast quickly served. Would certainly try it first for another visit.
A few flights of stairs involved.
very friendly and helpful staff; nice and quiet despite being right in bloomsbury
I stayed in the grand floor room facing at street but it was very quiet. It was very close to Euron station and you can walk to British museum or Covent garden. Also there are a little shopping mall and many organic restaurant and shops around there ,so you can enjoy shopping.
It took long time to get a hot water from the shower.TV have only 4 channels.
I like my room at the top floor, it was spacious, clean and quiet.
Booked and paid for a single but was given a double for same price-£72 -a bargain for London en suite Ability to change dates without penalty
